Durability and long-term performance is paramount when dealing with business park access roads, loading bays, delivery ports and airports etc where heavy duty goods vehicles are in constant use.

Almost all of the above will have a requirement for a heavy duty running surface on the access roads, runways, loading bays and a porous surface for the parking areas to assist with site drainage. HGV’s can cause permanent deformation and cracking of conventional asphalts and surface abrasion from power-assisted steering.

Not only is our HGV resisting tarmac service extremely durable and minimises disruption from future maintenance but it is also competitively priced when compared with other installers.

Hard Wearing Tarmac

We use a heavy duty, HGV resisting tarmac that is ideal for business parks, factories, loading bays, and airports. It combines high grade aggregates with a specialist modified binder to provide enhanced resistance to deformation and surface abrasion associated with heavy goods vehicles.

And when you’re constructing a surface that needs to stand up to a lot of weight driving over it, you’ve got to do it with our experts, here at Commercial Tarmacadam.

A long lasting surfacing solution

With the many different types of pavement construction available, and the varying surface conditions and loads your pavement will need to withstand, deciding what material is best for your specific project can be tricky. But when you need a heavy-duty surface that will last for years, nothing beats Tarmac—and here’s why:

For one thing, Tarmac can handle the stress of heavy loads of large commercial vehicles and is HGV resisting. If you’re looking for a durable surface that won’t crack or break under pressure, Tarmac is the way to go.

But it’s not just heavy loads that Tarmac can handle—it also resists water damage and its resulting weakening effects. That means your pavement will stay stronger longer, even in tough climates and seasons.

Tarmac also has a low cost and can be laid quickly – at least in comparison to other materials like concrete surfaces. For such an affordable option, you’ll get years of use out of your pavement without needing costly repairs or replacements down the line. It’s an ideal long term solution.

Airplane on hard wearing tarmac

Tarmac surfaces for airport and military runways

In aviation, there are few things more important than a quality runway.

Airport and military runways require a medium that can hold up to heavy usage, and Tarmac is the most durable material for the job. Well-designed pavements increase safety and even cut vehicle operating costs.

Airport and military runways are some of the busiest places on Earth. With so much activity, you need a pavement that can handle it all without wearing down or falling apart and for it to deliver lasting performance. Tarmac’s ability to take a beating makes it ideal for these high-traffic transportation hubs.

Even better, well-designed Tarmac pavements can cut vehicle operating costs because they help reduce tire wear and fuel consumption – perfect for HGV traffic.

Heavy duty resistant Tarmac for container ports

Heavy duty resistant Tarmac for container ports

When your container port needs a heavy-duty, resilient tarmac or resisting asphalt surface that’s resistant to cracking and deformation from high-traffic loading, Commercial Tarmacadam are the company you need to call – we have the hardwearing surfacing solution you’re looking for..

Our surfaces are made with an innovative reinforcement technique that allows the tarmac to withstand even the heaviest HGV traffic and turning stresses whilst keeping its shape and smoothness. This saves you time and money in maintenance costs because your tarmac will last longer and require less resurfacing, which can cost thousands of pounds per square foot. Plus, you can be confident that the smooth surface will ensure safe travel for workers and vehicles as they go about their jobs.

If your port needs a heavy-duty tarmac surface with improved flexibility and deformation resistance, don’t accept anything less! With our innovative pavement design, we have everything you need.

Heavy duty asphalt for HGV loading bays

Heavy duty Tarmac is a special type of tarmac and road surface (stronger than conventional asphalt) that delivers excellent structural performance through an excellent aggregate interlock and special heavy duty grout. This material is particularly suited for loading bays, which are vulnerable to cracking and deformation as a result of continual heavy traffic. Hence it’s name – HGV resisting tarmac.

The tarmac surface is comprised of an aggregate matrix with a modified binder designed for extra durability and rigidity. The grout layer is exposed to heat and pressure in order to create the hardened surface, which features high wear resistance and good weathering properties. These attributes make it ideal for protecting the underlying structure from damage caused by heavy commercial vehicles. It is also resistant to oil and fuel spillages, which makes it suitable for use on service areas such as petrol stations or truck stops. No one likes a fuel spillage stain!
